The lack of specificity on housing production was no accident as finding out exactly how many units have been built is a challenge for reporters and policy makers alike. In using various data sets to figure how many new homes Waltham built, MHP Center for Housing Data co-director Tom Hopper shows why it can be hard to answer this seemingly simple question.
