SHARON, Feb. 12, 2009 --- A downtown school that has been vacant for three decades will be transformed into a mixed-income development within footsteps of the commuter rail thanks in part to tax-exempt financing from MHP and MassDevelopment.

BOSTON, Dec. 30, 2008 --- A new report released by MHP finds that the three most important factors in determining metro area employment growth are how much housing the region builds, its success in attracting new residents, and the extent to which it is dependent on manufacturing employment.

WORCESTER, December 1, 2008 --- MHP is once again using its ability to provide long-term, fixed-rate private financing for affordable rental housing in Worcester, committing $1.095 million in first and second mortgage financing to help Worcester Common Ground in the new construction of over 3,000 square feet of commercial/retail space as well as the construction of 12 affordable rental units.

NORTHAMPTON, Nov. 27, 2008 --- The Valley Community Development Corporation (VCDC) recently celebrated the opening of two affordable housing efforts, an eight-unit apartment building in Northampton and an 11-unit effort in Amherst. Both efforts were made possible due in part to early technical assistance and long-term financing from MHP.

PITTSFIELD, October 29, 2008 --- Using its ability to provide private bank funds for affordable rental housing, MHP has committed $2.2 million in long-term financing to support a 67-unit new construction and rehabilitation project near in downtown Pittsfield.
