On June, 30, 2020, the MHP Board of Directors voted to approve the following agency leadership goals for Fiscal Year 2021. These goals were created through discussions with the MHP staff and board and express the organization's commitment to advancing racial equity, housing security, sustainability and income equality.

On June 26, 2020, one of MHP's lending partners - the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corp. issued a statement in response to violence against Black and Brown Americans. Based on a discussion with its staff and board, MHIC identified several themes and promised to work with its staff and lending partners to find solutions to issues that disproportionately impact people of color.

In an effort to boost homeownership and wealth-building opportunities, the City of Boston and MHP have unveiled ONE+Boston, a new program that will utilize $8 million in city funds to help more first-time Boston homebuyers buy a home through the ONE Mortgage, the state's most affordable program. ONE has made over 5,800 loans in Boston, 57 percent to people of color.
