PITTSFIELD, October 29, 2008 --- Using its ability to provide private bank funds for affordable rental housing, MHP has committed $2.2 million in long-term financing to support a 67-unit new construction and rehabilitation project near in downtown Pittsfield.

ARLINGTON, October 14, 2008 --- Using its ability to provide long-term, fixed-rate private financing for affordable rental housing, MHP has committed $1.2 million in first and second mortgage financing to help the Housing Corporation of Arlington (HCA) acquire, rehabilitate and preserve 10 units of affordable housing.

BOSTON, Sept. 25, 2008 --- In its continuing effort to support affordable housing production in Massachusetts, MHP has awarded nearly $4 million in grants to non-profit and community-based development organizations across the state.

SOMERVILLE, Sept. 12, 2008 --- Community, local and state leaders gathered in early September to celebrate the beginning of the construction of 24 affordable rental units on the campus of the former Saint Polycarp Church, an effort made possible due in part to a long-term loan commitment from the Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP).

Lang joined with representatives from Bank of America and MHP to congratulate first-time homebuyer Noah Griffith, who bought a rehabilitated three-family property with a SoftSecond loan.

BOSTON, Aug. 12, 2008 --- Governor Deval Patrick has pledged more than $142 million from state housing programs and equity leveraged from private sector investment in low-income housing tax credits to support projects that will yield 1,218 rental apartments, 1,124 of which will be affordable for low- and moderate-income residents.
