Boston: RFP for $14M for affordable developments

BOSTON --- The city’s Department of Neighborhood Development (DND) will make more than $14 million in funds available to qualified housing projects this month as part of a push to create more affordable housing in Boston. The funds will be awarded via a pair of competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) that are now accessible on the city’s website.

DANVERS --- Hoping to keep its housing supply above 10 percent so it can have greater control over new housing development, the Town of Danvers is discussing whether to adopt Ch. 40R zoning, a state program that offers incentives to towns who enact denser zoning for multifamily housing in so-called "smart growth" locations like town centers and/or near transportation.
