Posted on March 28, 2019

MHP will conduct two trainings this spring to help communities understand how to effectively use local funds to support affordable housing.

Cape Housing Trust Roundtable

On Wednesday, April 24, MHP will hold a Housing Trust Roundtable in Yarmouth. This regional discussion will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m., starting with a tour of Yarmouth Commons (881 Rte. 28, Yarmouth) and continuing with a discussion at the Simpkins Residences (134 Old Main Street, Yarmouth).

The roundtable is geared toward existing trustees on Affordable Housing Trust boards, staff that support trusts, and communities interested in creating more affordable housing.

The agenda will include a tour of Yarmouth Commons, a review of how Yarmouth is supporting affordable housing and a roundtable discussion about successes and challenges of getting affordable housing done in Cape communities.
