This is the second edition of the Housing Stability Monitor and will explore data through October 2023.

The Housing Stability Monitor is an ongoing research series that provides quarterly updates on eviction and foreclosure trends in Massachusetts. This is the second edition in the series and features interactive eviction and foreclosure data through October 2023. Data show a concerning increase in eviction filings and executions across the state; while foreclosure trends remain below pre-pandemic levels, the recent closing of the Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) is expected to result in increased foreclosures.

BOSTON --- Before MHP colleagues, family members and friends, MHP Director of Business Development Nancy McCafferty accepted the Suzanne King Public Service Award from CREW Boston.

BRIDGEWATER --- MPZ Development and Capstone Communities joined state and local officials and residents on September 19 in celebrating the grand opening of the McElwain School Apartments, a new 57-unit, mixed-income apartment community near Bridgewater’s town center.

BOSTON --- MHP, MassHousing and the state Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) will host two in-person trainings on Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing (AFHM) and lotteries. The dates are Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023, and Thursday, March 14, 2024.

METHUEN --- At a groundbreaking for YWCA Residences at Ingalls Court on September 15, city leaders, representatives of social service agencies and financial supporters spoke of the importance of the affordable housing development and the type of services it will provide.
