How to Drive a Closing training

Popular MHP training to be repeated on Thursday, Oct. 16

Posted on September 22, 2014

After two successful trainings this year, MHP is gearing up to provide another "How to Drive a Closing" training on Thursday, Oct. 16 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MHP's Boston office (160 Federal Street).

Co-sponsored by the Mel King Institute and MHP, the training will focus on how to push through the last stage of the development process -- the closing. This training is specifically designed for real estate project managers, CFOs, executive directors and others who have basic knowledge of the real estate transaction but want to be able to conduct (or oversee those conducting) a complex financial transaction.

The program will be led by two trainers with extensive experience in the closing process: Jennifer Gilbert of VIVA Consulting and Attorney Roberta Rubin of Klein Hornig.

Topics to be addressed include:

  • Getting from A through B to C: Understanding the Pieces and Sequencing of a Closing
  • I'm Going to Mess You Up: How to Sidestep the Most Common Pitfalls in Closing
  • Key Documents and What to Look for in Them
  • Tools of the Trade and Art of the Process
