MHP commits $1.9 million for developments in Marion, Boston
BOSTON, Dec. 28, 2011 --- In recent lending activity, MHP has committed over $1.9 million for the financing of 72 affordable rental units for developments located in Marion and Boston. In addition, MHP recently participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for a 45-unit development in Pittsfield. Below are summaries of MHP's role in these developments.

QUINCY, Nov. 29, 2011 --- At the grand opening of 6 Fort Street, Janelle Chan left no doubt that affordable housing is needed, noting that nearly 400 families had applied to live in one of the new apartments. "Demand far exceeds the supply," said the executive director of the Asian Community Development Corporation (ACDC) during opening ceremonies on Nov. 15.
JP marks grand opening 30 rental homes at 270 Centre St.
JAMAICA PLAIN, Oct. 28, 2011 ---- The corner of Centre and Lamartine Street used to house nothing. Located across the street from the Jackson Square T station, commuters would exit the station and the first thing they'd see was a blighted plot of land. Now, they see 270 Centre Street, a four-story energy-efficient building housing 30 low- to moderate-income renters.

MHP commits $650,000 to construct 22 units
WORCESTER, Sept. 28, 2011 --- The Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) recently committed $650,000 in financing to help non-profit development Main South Community Development Corporation (Main South CDC) construct 22 units of affordable rental housing in the Main South neighborhood of Worcester.
