Register for conference on trusts & CPA

MARLBOROUGH --- As part of its ongoing effort to help communities support affordable housing, the MHP community assistance team has scheduled a training in March on how to use local funds for affordable housing.

This day-long training will be held on Saturday, March 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Courtyard by Marriott, 75 Felton Street, Marlborough. Check-in for the conference will begin at 8 a.m. 

The training will focus on the Community Preservation Act and Municipal Affordable Housing Trusts, two of the most important tools communities use to support affordable housing. It is geared toward members of local affordable housing trusts and members of Community Preservation Committees (CPCs) and the staff that supports trusts and CPCs. The agenda will include:

  • Learn the basics of affordable housing development from the perspective of the lender, developer and municipality, including how to balance development pressures and how communities support affordable housing.
  • How local affordable housing trusts and Community Preservation Committees can work together
  • Best practices and peer learning.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The cost to attend is $30. Register now for the trust and CPA conference.
