Using CPA funds for affordable housing

BOSTON --- The Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) is co-hosting a workshop on the Community Preservation Act (CPA) and how its funds can be used to create affordable housing. The workshop will be held on Friday, March 4 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Church, 87 Edgell Road, Framingham, MA 01701.

Workshop details
This event is open to members of local Community Preservation Committees (CPC), Municipal Affordable Housing Trusts, local elected and appointed officials, municipal planners and/or other town employees, and housing advocates.

The workshop will be organized in three sessions:
1. The day will begin with a series of presentations by MHP, CPA experts, and consultants on eligible CPA uses and what's new.
2. Attendees will then hear from a variety of communities on their successful projects, best practices, goals, and challenges when it comes to using CPA for housing.
3. The afternoon will be dedicated to small breakout groups to allow for networking, discussion, and idea sharing.
