Final application for federal funds following period of public comment
In July 2009, the Massachusetts Housing Investment Corp. made an application for $59 million in funding from the Federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP II). MHIC is the lead applicant in a consortium with MHP and the state Department of Housing and Community Development. The consortium has proposed that the funding be used to support revitalization efforts in specific neighborhoods or census tracts in 14 older urban communities that have been hard hit by foreclosure. The attached document is the final application, following a period of public comment.
