AGO receiver training held for Merrimack Valley LAWRENCE, September 8, 2009 --- MHP's Community Housing Initiatives group recently participated in a receiver training at the Lawrence Community boathouse. The purpose of the event was to help Merrimack Valley communities address problems caused by abandoned and foreclosed properties.

CHI active with workshops in spring/summer 2009 BOSTON, August 27, 2009 --- MHP's Community Housing Initiatives department hosted six workshops in the spring and summer of 2009.

MHP funds receivership program to help Worcester, Springfield BOSTON, Jan. 30, 2009 --- Using its ability to provide private-sector funds for affordable housing and neighborhood stabilization, MHP has committed $250,000 in bank grant funding to advance receivership initiatives in Worcester and Springfield.

8 non-profits receive innovation grants to pursue housing initiatives BOSTON, December 8, 2008 --- In its ongoing effort to support non-profit and community-based development organizations, MHP has awarded $355,000 in capacity innovation grants to nine organizations pursuing new housing initiatives.

Valley CDC opens affordable housing in Northampton, Amherst NORTHAMPTON, Nov. 27, 2008 --- The Valley Community Development Corporation (VCDC) recently celebrated the opening of two affordable housing efforts, an eight-unit apartment building in Northampton and an 11-unit effort in Amherst. Both efforts were made possible due in part to early technical assistance and long-term financing from MHP.

MHP awards $4M in grants to support housing development BOSTON, Sept. 25, 2008 --- In its continuing effort to support affordable housing production in Massachusetts, MHP has awarded nearly $4 million in grants to non-profit and community-based development organizations across the state.

DHCD, MHP award planning grants to local housing authorities BOSTON, Sept. 23, 2008 --- DHCD and MHP have awarded 12 more planning grants to local housing authorities, bringing the total to 17 that have received support to help modernize their state-funded affordable housing portfolio, or create new units on surplus land.
