Public meetings

Meetings of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Housing Partnership (MHP) are scheduled monthly. All meetings are posted and open to the public. For more information on the meeting schedule and agendas click here and for minutes of previous board meetings click here.

Board membership

The seven Directors of MHP are appointed by the Governor. They include three nominees of the Massachusetts Bankers Association and the Commonwealth's Director of Housing and Community Development and Secretary of Administration and Finance, who both serve ex officio.

Board committees

The Board has four standing committees: Personnel and Compensation, Audit and Loan Review, Finance, and Strategic Planning. All committee meetings are posted and open to the public.

Code of conduct

All MHP board members and staff are subject to the Massachusetts Conflict of Interest Law (M.G.L. c.268A), are provided summaries of the law annually and participate in the State Ethics Commission online training. Senior employees file Statements of Financial Interest with the State Ethics Commission. Staff are also subject to additional MHP policies regarding professional conduct, acceptable use of MHP facilities and equipment, harassment, whistle-blowing, political activity, public records and other issues. Board outreach

MHP's Board of Directors has a longstanding practice of holding at least one board meeting in the field each year and combining those meetings with neighborhood tours and meetings with local community leaders. These public meetings and neighborhood visits have been held in Barnstable, Bedford, Brockton, Chelsea, Chicopee, Concord, Fall River, Falmouth, Holyoke, Lawrence, Lexington, Lowell, Lynn, Salem, Springfield and Worcester and in the Boston neighborhoods of Dorchester, Roxbury, Mattapan and East Boston.
